Kwara State Governor, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, on Tuesday, 28th July 2026, conducted a pre-commissioning inspection tour of the nearly completed, state-of-the-art Multi-Storey Kwara Revenue House located along Ahmadu Bello Way, G.R.A., Ilorin.

The Governor, accompanied by top government officials and other dignitaries, was received by the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi, alongside members of the Management Team, who conducted him and his entourage on a guided tour of the iconic facility.

During the inspection, the Executive Chairman highlighted the key features of the edifice and explained how the new Revenue House will strengthen tax administration by centralising the Service’s operations, enhancing staff productivity, improving taxpayer service delivery, and supporting a more technology-driven and efficient revenue administration.

Expressing satisfaction with the quality and standard of work executed on the project, Governor AbdulRazaq described the Iconic Revenue House as another landmark investment that reflects his administration’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure development, institutional strengthening, improved public service delivery, and sustainable revenue generation.
He noted that beyond serving as the operational headquarters of the State’s revenue administration, the imposing structure represents a strategic investment in the future of Kwara State and demonstrates his administration’s resolve to build enduring public institutions capable of driving economic growth and sustainable development.

Designed as a modern operational hub, the Kwara Revenue House will bring together the Service’s workforce under one roof, fostering seamless interdepartmental collaboration, eliminating operational bottlenecks, and promoting greater efficiency in service delivery. The facility is equipped with modern amenities that will enhance the overall taxpayer experience while supporting the Service’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
The inspection visit was aimed at assessing the level of readiness of the landmark edifice ahead of its official commissioning, which is expected to take place later in the year.
