The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) is in receipt of the judgement delivered on the 3rd of November, 2021 by Honourable Justice K.D Damulak of the National Industrial Court, Akure in the matter against KWIRS on reinstatement and payment of arrears of salaries of some disengaged staff of the Service.

The court, in deciding against KWIRS, hinged its judgement largely on what it considered administrative inadequacies during the Disciplinary Proceedings that culminated into the disengagement of the concerned staff in the year 2017.

The KWIRS convinced that the plaintiffs’ disengagement was in order has taken steps to appeal the judgement of the Industrial Court and is prepared to prosecute the appeal diligently.
