The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), Shade Omoniyi, in the company of some members of the KW-IRS management team visited Ajase Ipo today, Wednesday, 9th September 2026, to inspect the new office facility constructed for KW-IRS and the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO).

The Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, His Royal Majesty Oba Barr. Ismail Yahaya Atoloye Muhammed led the team on a tour of the facility, which was built by the Ajase-Ipo community, assessing the level of work done towards making it suitable for use as a workplace. The developing structure represents a significant demonstration of the community's commitment to enhancing revenue mobilization by KW-IRS and tax administration in Kwara State.

Upon completion, the facility is expected to provide a more conducive working environment for personnel of KW-IRS and VIO, especially with its proximity to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) office, thereby improving service delivery to taxpayers, residents, and other stakeholders within Ajase-Ipo and its environs.

The presence of the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo further highlighted the importance of the collaboration between traditional institutions, communities, and government agencies in driving sustainable development, improving public infrastructure and maximizing internally generated revenue for the State.

Speaking during the visit, Shade Omoniyi applauded the Ajase-Ipo community for its support and for providing an enabling environment for government operations. She stated that the initiative reflects the impact of community participation and partnership with government on improved public service delivery.
