In pursuance of the drive to collaborate with all stakeholders in the State for an enhanced IGR, the Executive Chairman, KWIRS, Shade Omoniyi, paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Community on Thursday, 28/09/2023.
Welcoming the KWIRS team, the Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Bata, Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Iyabo Modupe Adekeye, and Directors of the Ministry, seized the opportunity of the visit to discuss building up existing working relationship on revenue collection for the State and elimination of any instance of double taxation.
Noticeable impediments to revenue drive were identified and effective solutions to aid smooth and optimal IGR mobilization for the State, without inflicting burden on taxpayers were proferred for implementation.
