The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) Shade Omoniyi on Monday 26th January 2024, received executive members of the Joint Tax Board (JTB) at the KW-IRS Corporate Head office, G.R.A, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The Joint Tax Board (JTB) team led by its Executive Secretary, Olusegun Adesokan was on a one-day familiarization and working visit to the Kwara Revenue House.
The working visit according to the JTB team was for the Board to familiarize itself with the mandate of KW-IRS; understand its revenue administration processes as an autonomous IRS, establish strict readiness to collaborate and provide needed resources such as accurate data sourcing and sharing with the Service for an improved Internally Generated Revenue and to also express assurance on the provision of seamless tax-related services for all States’ IRS and major taxation stakeholders in the country based on its status as the apex body for tax administration and regulation in the country.
As part of the working and familiarization visit, the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi led the JTB executives to the Office of the Kwara State Commissioner for Finance, Dr. (Mrs.) Hauwa Nuru, where issues bordering on the extensive mutually beneficial working relationship between both sister agencies and the JTB were highlighted for steadily improved Internally Generated Revenue of Kwara State.
The JTB visiting team was received by Director, Accounts & Finance, Omolara Ojulari; Director, Admin & Operations, Olatunji Balogun; Director, Legal and Compliance, Shehu Abdullahi; Director Income Tax, Mohammed Usman; Director, MDAs Omotayo Ayinla, and some Heads of Departments of KW-IRS.
