The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) Shade Omoniyi was recently honoured by the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN) at a Send-Forth & Get-Together Celebration organized for retired Managing Director/Chief Executive Officers (MD/CEOs) of Mortgage Banks and Other Stakeholders in the Mortgage Banking Sub-Sector.
The send forth ceremony organized by the MBAN was to appreciate individual professionals who have served exceptionally at the helm of affairs of the banking sector.
The Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi served as the MD/CEO of First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Mortgages Limited (FirstTrust Mortgage Bank Plc) between 2016 and 2018, with ground breaking record of successes and achievements.
Giving her acceptance remarks, the KW-IRS boss, Shade Omoniyi expressed her profound appreciation to the organizers of the ceremony and for finding her worthy of the special recognition award. She described the initiative as a noble and motivational one for the Mortgage Banking Sector practitioners and others in the banking business. Omoniyi added that the recognition was a distinctive acknowledgment of excellent service to the Mortgage Banking Sector of Nigeria.
She assures that as a bonafide member of the Association, she remains committed to the provision of easy access to mortgage finances, continuous promotion of the core mandate and vision of the professional body and development of the country at large.
The prestigious occasion, hosted by the MBAN President, Mr. Ebilate MAC-YOROKI and the Executive Secretary of the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria Mr. Kayode Omotosho had not less than 23 (twenty three) awardees who were adjudged to have made their marks in the Mortgage subsector, including former Directors and top management staff at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC),as well as former MD/CEOs of Mortgage Institutions in Nigeria.
The ceremony had in attendance, several Crème de la Crème of the society, such as Captains of Industries, Government Functionaries, Head of Corporate Bodies, CBN Directors, Directors of Financial Institutions, and representatives from Mortage banks in Nigeria.
