In continuation of the drive towards excellent service delivery and improved internally generated revenue for the State, the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi, held a synergy meeting with the Tax Assessment department of the Service, today, 26th of May, 2022.
Shade Omoniyi described Tax Assessment as core and the engine room of any revenue house, hence important for every member of staff of the department and the Service as a whole to be professional in the discharge of their duty.
As she does for every department and staff of the Service, the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS reiterated need for tax assessment department to continue to be diligent in carrying out the assigned job roles of tax assessment, swift treatment of submitted objection and application for Tax Clearance Certificate.
Shade Omoniyi added that the use of technology for all tax-related activities of KW-IRS has come to stay and must be embraced by all.
The KW-IRS boss charged the department to key into the ongoing reforms on all business processes of the Service and not hesitate to bring up challenges as they arise while discharging their duties, for quick resolution and improvement of the system.
Giving his remarks, the Head Tax Assessment, Abdullahi Gegele, appreciated the Executive Chairman for her usual support and assured that all hands are on deck to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
He emphasized that tax assessment department will not relent on its effort in tackling issues of under-remittance of PAYE and data gathering of workers in the State to allow for everyone in structured employment to receive monthly SMS on PAYE remitted on their behalf.
