In continuation of the 2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition organized by the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) in collaboration with the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development for Secondary Schools in Kwara State, six (6) schools have qualified for the final stage.
It would be recalled that the preliminary stages of the Competition held from 24th June to 4th July, 2024 where eighty-three (83) out of the one hundred and fifty-four (154) registered schools sat for the quiz from the comfort of their respective schools and twelve schools (12) qualified for the semi-final stage.
Six finalists have emerged at the end of the semi-final held between Tuesday, 8th and Wednesday, 9th October, 2024 as an online Computer Based Test (CBT) with appropriate back-end monitoring by members of the KW-IRS Tax Club Advocacy Committee alongside the representative of the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs Roseline Ayansola.
The qualified schools are Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Asa Dam; Government Secondary School, Lafiagi; Shepherd Secondary School, Lafiagi; Government Day Secondary School, Gaa-Akanbi; Kwara State College of Education Model Secondary School, Oro; and Anglican Boys’ Academy, Oro.
The six schools will compete for the N2.5m grand prize at the final stage of the competition which will hold in Ilorin on 7th November, 2024.
