The newly elected President of the Kwara State Artisan Congress (KWACO), Alhaji Jimoh Ayinla Adeshina has reiterated the commitment of the association in ascertaining voluntary tax compliance among its member which will no doubt result in increased revenue generation of the State.

This assertion was made recently at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected executives of the association held at the Kwara State Banquet Hall.

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who was present at the occasion applauds the leadership of the association for their contribution to the State’s economy, adding that the artisan congress constitutes a larger percentage of Kwara State population and as such cannot be left unrecognized.

The Executive Chairman, KW-IRS Shade Omoniyi in her address congratulated the new executives and assured them of a continuous mutually beneficial working relationship. She appreciated the commitment of the members of the artisan congress to tax compliance, and urged them not to relent in their efforts towards achieving a desirable Kwara State.

Adeshina in his speech appreciated the Executive Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for all the support his administration has given the artisan congress so far and pledges its unrelenting support for the growth and development of its administration.

The newly elected executives as announced at the event are, The President of the Association, Alhaji Jimoh Ayinla Adeshina, Lady Vice President, Chief (Mrs) Olayinka Atoyebi, Vice President I, Alhaji Comrade Saliu Ayo Sekoni, Vice President II, Comrade Samuel, Secretary-General, Alhaji Oladimeji Jogbojogbo among others.

The event also had in attendance the Director, Income Tax, Mohammed Usman, Head, Informal Sector Department, KW-IRS, Maimunat Amasa, and Head, Artisan, Aduke Robbinson from KW-IRS. Over 85 (Eighty-Five) associations under the umbrella of Kwara State Artisan Congress were present to grace the occasion.
