KW-IRS TAX CLUB QUIZ COMPETITION PRELIMINARY ROUNDS START JUNE 20

The opening rounds of the annual Tax Club Quiz Competition of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development commence across the three (3) Senatorial Districts of the State on Tuesday 20th June 2023.

All Two Hundred and Thirty-One (231) Secondary Schools in Kwara State (public & private) who expressed interest in the 2023 tax quiz competition will converge for the Computer-Based competition at four designated centres in the State.
Kwara North Senatorial District holds its CBT tax competition at Government Secondary School, Ilesha Baruba, in Baruten Local Government Area, and College of Education, (Technical) Lafiagi, in Edu Local Government Area on Tuesday, 20th June, and Wednesday, 21st June 2023 respectively.

Participating schools from Kwara South and Kwara Central Senatorial Districts, hold the preliminary rounds of the competition at Okeya High School CBT Centre, Okeya-Ipo, in Irepodun Local Government Area and at the KW-IRS Phase III office CBT Centre, in Ilorin on Friday 23rd June and Monday 26th June 2023 respectively.

The preliminary stages will have eighteen (18) schools emerge and progress to the semi-final and grand finale stages of the competition, scheduled to hold on Thursday, 2nd November 2023 in Ilorin.
Participating schools are advised to check the schedule of the competition on taxclub.irs.kw.gov.ng.

It is worthy of note, that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration remains resolute in providing platforms for human capital development and building a sustainable economy; of which knowledge of tax by all is one of the several carefully designed initiatives of the State, to nurture young generation to becoming tax-compliant citizens.
