The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS),commissions a 24-unit toilets at the Mandate Market, Ilorin,today,Thursday, 3rd of February, 2022,as part of its Community Impact Program and in line with the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq goal for provision of basic infrastructures for Kwarans.

The Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi in company of the management and staff of KW-IRS commissioned and handed over the newly built 24 units toilets to the Honourable Commissioner, Business, Innovation and Technology,Hajia Arinola Lawal for use of all at the Mandate market.

In her opening remarks during the hand over, Shade Omoniyi said the decision to provide befitting public toilets for Mandate Market suits the State Government developmental policy for members of the informal sector who share great influence in both the economic and IGR growth of Kwara State.

She said the construction of the public toilets is deliberate, and an act of reward for tax compliance, commending the unity and cooperation that exist between KW-IRS and Kwara State Association of Marketers (KWAM).

The KW-IRS boss assures marketers across the State of more benefits of being tax compliant citizens.

The Honourable Commissioner, Business, Innovation and Technology, Hajia Arinola Lawal, while receiving the keys to the toilets from the KW-IRS Executive Chairman’s Shade Omoniyi, thanked the Service for the construction and donation of the public toilets. She also commended the contributions of the organized marketers’ associations at Mandate Market in the revenue growth and the economy of the State.

In their separate responses, the market executives at both the State and Mandate levels expressed their profound joy over the unprecedented donation of the 24 units toilets powered by KW-IRS, thanking the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq led administration for keeping to his promises of continuous extension of his developmental initiatives to the members of the Informal Sector in the State.

The keys to the 24units toilets were handed over to the Mandate Market executives by the HonourableCommissioner,with charge to ensure proper maintenance of the edifice provided by the State, and for an improved revenue generation at the market.
