The senior students of Future Leaders Schools, Ilorin paid a courtesy visit to the Corporate Head Office of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) on Wednesday, 12th February 2020.
The students, in the company of their teachers, were received by Miss Yetunde Elegboja who represented the Head of Corporate Affairs Department, Mr. Temi Kolawole. Miss Elegboja gave the guests a brief overview of the Service, highlighting its statutory functions and responsibilities as a revenue-generating agency as established in the Kwara State Revenue Administration Law in 2015.
The students, during the interactive session, expressed enthusiasm to become tax administrators should they have the opportunity to work with the Service in the future. The session also featured questions and answers session, where the students were furnished with comprehensive details about the Service, its organogram and revenue generation strategies.
After the interactive session, the students were shown around the two phases of the KW-IRS office. They met various Department and Directorate Heads who also offered them words of counsel and guidance for their future endeavors. The courtesy visit was rounded up with a group photograph at the Phase 1 Office of KW-IRS.
