The newly deployed Sector Commander to the Kwara State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Frederick Ade Ogidan has assured commitment of Kwara Sector to building existing relationship between FRSC and KW-IRS, towards enhancement of road safety and the internally generated revenue for Kwara State.
Corps Commander Ogidan, who led a team of 8 officers of his command on a courtesy visit to the Revenue House in Ilorin on Friday 20th of May, 2022, disclosed that the courtesy visit to KW-IRS was part of his familiarization visit to relevant sister agencies in the State to avail him opportunity to discuss issues of mutual benefits towards promotion of good working relationship for the growth of Kwara.
The FRSC Kwara Sector Commander, commended the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi for the continuous cooperation and support of KW-IRS to the Sector, as well as the amazing partnership between the two agencies in the State of Harmony, stating that collaboration with Kwara has earned the sector international recognition.
He stated that, Kwara is a unique State, and being the State of the FRSC Chief Marshall, his command has no other choice than ensure all hands are on deck to utilize available resources to improving road taxes activities in all Driver Licensing Centres and Motor Licensing Authority offices across the State.
CC Ogidan reiterated need for every resident of Kwara to continue to imbibe safety culture from home and replicate same in the society for peace and progress of all. He pledged diligent service to the people of Kwara and doing all within the capacity of the Command to foster safety and revenue mobilization.
Ogidan added that continuous public enlightenment and enforcement with availability of mobile courts are major tools to achieving cautiousness and compliance to road safety rules.
Giving her response, the KW-IRS Executive Chairman, Shade Omoniyi congratulated the Kwara Sector Commander, Fredrick Ade Ogidan on his appointment and deployment to the State of harmony and wished him a fruitful tenure. She charged the new Sector Commander to see to better, greater and more fruitful working relationship with all partners and stakeholders in the road use sector to aid successful actualization of all set goals of both KW-IRS and FRSC in the State.
Shade Omoniyi emphasized need for synergy in the revenue mobilization for the State, stating that there is always room for improvement on support and alignment with the vision of the State Executive Governor towards more development in the State.
The meeting had in attendance top management and staff of both Road taxes and Enforcement department of the Service.
