The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service(KW-IRS), Shade Omoniyi, today, Tuesday 7th December 2021 joined other outstanding women within and outside Kwara State to celebrate the women inclusive government of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration.
The Kwara State, under AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has taken unprecedented steps by appointing 56.25% female cabinet members, over 48.15% female permanent secretaries and many women in key government positions in the State since he assumed office in 2019.
To solidify the continuous inclusiveness of women in the governance of Kwara State, Governor AbdulRazaq during the women conference tagged “Cracking The Glass Ceiling: The Story of Kwara Women” signed into law the Kwara State Political Office Gender Composition Bill 2021, with a unique feature of not less than 35% representation of women in the State Executive Council going forward.
Women from all walks of life told their stories and charged girl child and women on the need to set their hearts on greatness and commitment to doing exceedingly in the various endeavours of life and to also see the need to contribute their quota to the development of the State of harmony.

Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, the keynote speaker for the conference, former Chairman, First Bank of Nigeria, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, former presidential candidate, Mrs Sarah Jubril, wives of the Governor of Lagos, Ekiti, Taraba, Abia, Oyo, and Osun States, great women from Kwara State and from various fields of endeavours, Royal Fathers, top government officials, different institutions and friends of Kwara State.
