As part of its effort to further improve the quality of tax education and raising a generation of tax compliant citizens across the State, the Kwara State Government, through the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, KW-IRS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, announces the commencement of the 2021 Tax Club Quiz Competition for all secondary schools in Kwara State.
The competition holds at the Kwara North, South and Central Senatorial Districts of the State from Monday 5th to Monday 12th July 2021 for schools that expressed interest through application for the competition.
According to the statement from the KW-IRS organizing committee, the First and Second rounds of the competition for Kwara North Senatorial District will hold from Monday 5th to Tuesday 6th July, 2021 at the Government Secondary School, Ilesha Baruba in Baruten Local Government Area and Kwara State College of Education, Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area respectively.
Similarly, the First and Second rounds of the competition scheduled to hold in the Kwara South Senatorial District come up on Thursday, 8th July 2021 at the Anglican Grammar School, Omupo, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the State.
For the Kwara Central Senatorial District schedule, participants will converge at the KW-IRS CBT Centre, Trillium School Compound, Irewolede Road, Ilorin on Monday 12th July 2021 for the First and Second rounds, while the Semi-final and Final stages of the competition come up on Thursday 4th November 2021 in Ilorin, the State capital.
Participating schools are by this notice reminded that the Tax Quiz Competition for Rounds One and Two shall be Computer Based Test (CBT) and the Semi-Final and Final stages will be physically conducted with all Covid-19 safety protocols adhered to strictly.
Participants are advised to check the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service official website (irs.kw.gov.ng) and the tax club portal (taxclub.irs.kw.gov.ng) for more details on schools’ grouping and schedule of the competition.
