In a bid to further solicit more support to boost revenue mobilization and to improve the socio-economic development of Kwara State, the Executive Chairman KW-IRS, Mrs Shade Omoniyi paid a visit to the Etsu of Patigi.
The Etsu of Patigi who also doubles as Vice-Chairman Kwara State Council of Emir and Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II warmly received the KW-IRS team at his palace today.
The effort was to seek further assistance from the Etsu to help appeal to the people for the Revenue drive in entirety and other specifics such as (Fulani) Jangali collection.
Mrs. Shade Omoniyi expressed the effort of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman’s towards providing and improving the social amenities of the Kwara North citizens.
She also stressed on putting a human face to the operations of the KW-IRS in order to ensure a tax-friendly State and to further automate the collection processes to block all forms of leakages.
The Executive Chairman also stated that the Service is doing its best to get closer to the people by creating more Area offices in each Local Government Areas across the State; Patigi is one of such locations and it will be opened come 1st January, 2020.
The Etsu welcomed the team and appreciated the Governor’s concerns towards the Kwara Northerners. His Eminence promised his assistance where necessary towards the Revenue drive across Patigi and its environs.
He also stated that he is aware of the Tax Identification Number (TIN) registration and has also been duly registered. He encouraged everyone to also register in due course.
