Community Impact Project: KW-IRS Gives Relief Materials

As part of the Directorate to give back to the Society through the Community Impact Programme, the Informal Sector Directorate has taken one from the Service’ E by providing assistant to the children of a taxpayer in Kwara State.

The Informal Directorate, headed by Alhaji Maimunat Amasa, of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) donated educational materials to the children of the Late Mrs Olufumilola Sakirat Olatunji during a condolence visit to the bereaved family.

Mrs Funmilola, before her death, was a trader in the popular Yoruba Road Market located in the city of Ilorin. The late trader was a prompt taxpayer who also helped in mobilizing other traders in the same Yoruba Road Market to pay their tax promptly.

During the condolence visit and while presenting the educational materials and the school fees, the Head of Informal Sector, Alhaja Maimunat Amasa expressed her grief to the family of the deceased. “I know how it feels to lose someone but I pray Almighty Allah will give the family the fortitude to bear the loss”.

Mr Olatunji, the husband of the deceased, appreciated the service for the kind gesture. He explained that his wife was a law-abiding citizen who loved her country, especially her state of resident so dearly.
