The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) wishes to bring to the notice of the general public its plan to commence prosecution of tax defaulters.

Every taxable person [corporate entities and individuals] is hereby advised by this notice to pay all outstanding tax liabilities and/or discharge any tax obligations arising from the under listed schemes on or before Friday, 29th July 2016. Failing which the KW-IRS will commence prosecution, taking full advantage of the provisions of law.

  • Personal Income Tax (PAYE, Direct Assessment)
  • Withholding Tax
  • Stamp Duties
  • Capital Gains Tax
  • Shop and Kiosk Rates
  • Signage and Advertisement Levies
  • Business Premises
  • Development Levy
  • Land Charge
  • Tenement Rate
  • Tax Audit Liabilities of Previous Years
  • Any other revenue payment(s) due to Kwara State Government and the Sixteen (16) Local Government Areas of Kwara State

All defaulters have till Friday, 29th July 2016 to pay all outstanding tax liabilities including interest and penalty as the Kwara State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice is poised to begin full enforcement of the law which includes, but not limited to Criminal Prosecution, Civil Litigation and Distrain without further recourse.
