Executive ChairmanMuritala Olakitan Awodun (PhD). is the pioneer Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service. Prior to his appointment he was the pioneer Dean of the School of Business and Governance, Kwara State University, Malete. He was also a foundation staff of the University that started the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship in 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Economics, Master of Science Degree in Economics, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Business.
Director of Admin & OperationsAdenike Babajamu is the Director of Operations and Process, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). She is a highly dynamic professional, with over 26 years vast and relevant experience in civil service, academics (secondary and tertiary), and banking industry. She is versatile in various levels of personnel and human management, training and retraining of personnel, branding and rebranding of existing products and policies having served in various capacities in both the private and public sectors. Adenike is an articulate and diplomatic communicator with relevant experiences in consultancy. Director of Special DutiesOlusegun Olawale Olaniyi is the Director of Special Duties, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). He is an Economist and a Development Finance expert with over 32 years hands-on experience with different organisations both in private and public sectors of the economy in the fields of Leadership and Development Economics, Banking and Finance, Human Capital Development, General Management and lately, Audit and Taxes.
Director of HNIs and CorporateNuhu Olaide Muhammed is the Director of HNIs and Corporate Organisations, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), with over 23 years experience in tax administration. He began his career as a teacher in Kwara State Ministry of Education in 1986 and transferred his service to Kwara State Board of Internal Revenue as Inspector of Taxes in 1992.
Director of Other RevenuesIyabo Abubakar is the Director of Other Revenues, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). She is a skilled Banker and Administrator with over 27 years of Public Service and Banking experience. She started her career with Kwara Teaching Service Commission as a teacher in 1988, from where she moved to the then Trade Bank in 1990 as an Executive Trainee and rose to the position of Branch Manager of several branches. Her Public service was renewed in 2006 when she joined Federal Government Service as a Mobilisation Officer through National Orientation Agency Abuja and was transferred to Lagos.
Director of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs)‘Lekan Rotimi is currently the Director of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). He has acquired over fifteen years of experience in Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Asset Management and Business Development. Prior to joining KW-IRS, ‘Lekan Rotimi was the CEO Cowries Craft Nigeria Limited, an Asset Management Company. He has extensive experience in Capital Market operations and enhancement of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in public sector parastatals. He pioneered collection of contravention charges by the Kwara State Government under Public Private Partnership and presently the managing consultant for the Department of Development Control of the Federal Capital Territory on Revenue Generation.
Director of Legal and EnforcementLateef Ahmed Okandeji (LLB, BL, LLM, FCIAN, ACTI) is the Director of Legal and Enforcement, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). He is a Corporate Attorney with 27 years post call experience. He began his career in the finance industry, defunct Trade Bank Plc where he spent 12 years and left as Manager, Legal Services in 2005 as a result of banking consolidation exercise.
He was a partner in Profiles MegaKonsult, a firm of Attorneys with focus on corporate litigations, debt recovery and tax advisory services between 2006 and 2013. He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, University of Ibadan, and Nigeria Law School, whilst still a member of several professional bodies.
Prior to his appointment as Legal & Enforcement Director in January 2017, he was at one time a member of Governing council Kwara State University Malete (2013-2016), Board member Kwara State Water Corporation (2011-2017), Executive Chairman Ilorin-East LGA (Nov. 2013- Nov. 2016) and also the Chairman Kwara State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria. (ALGON) an umbrella body of the third tier of government in Nigeria.
Internal AuditorOmolara Mulikat Ojulari is the Internal Auditor, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS). Prior to her appointment at KW-IRS, She was a lecturer at the Kwara State University, Malete for Six (6) years. During her six-year period at the Kwara State University, Malete, she worked in various capacities as Pioneer Co-ordinator of Accounting Department, Pioneer Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Creation and Management (ECM), Pioneer Social Science Coordinator in the Centre for Pre-degree and Remedial Studies, Pioneer Coordinator of KWASU Investment Unit and Deputy Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship.
She also worked in the United Kingdom as an Accountant and Lecturer in various institutions between 2005 and 2010. She had earlier worked briefly with Equitorial Trust Bank between 1992 and 1996.
She graduated from University of Lagos in 1989 with B.Sc. Actuarial Science, obtained her Accounting Professional Qualification ACCA from Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants in 2004. She completed Advanced Professional Diploma in Business in 2008 and M.Sc. Accounting with Finance from London Southbank University in 2011.
