This act really shows your willingness and readiness to move Kwara forward”

“KW-IRS was established in 2015 with the main responsibility of generating revenue for the strategic and systematic development of Kwara State. The reason for the establishment became necessary because the State could no longer depend only on Federal Allocation but on IGR,” he added.

The Executive Chairman further revealed that the Service now operate averagely on N2billion monthly as against the previous N600million generated monthly by the old board. He added that many other States have understudied KW-IRS to know how IGR can be increased with visible results showing after a year. The Chairman of the Committee enjoin the Service to maintain its core values as they continue to perform their sole function effectively in the State. “Also, it is an axiomatic fact that KW-IRS is one of the, if not the only, engine rooms of the State. Thus, we need your cooperation because we are here to work in order not to disappoint the good people of Kwara State,” he added.
