Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) added another plaque to its shelve courtesy of the Management and Staff of National Moonlight Newspaper who recognized KW-IRS as the Best Service Organization and the Executive Chairman of the Service, Dr Muritala Awodun as the Most Innovative CEO in 2017.
The award which was in recognition of the transformative approach introduced by the KW-IRS to Public Service of Kwara State as well as her immense contribution to community development through her Community Impact Programmes since the inception was announced at the Fourth Year Anniversary and Award night of the National Moonlight Newspaper.
The event which held at the Government Banquet Hall, Ahmadu Bello Way, GRA, Ilorin was filled to its capacity by the crème de la crème of the society, traditional rulers, industrialists and various people from all walks of life to witness the exceptional event.
While receiving the Award, the Executive Chairman, Dr Muritala Awodun lauded the management of the Newspaper for deeming it fit to distinguish some members of the society who have contributed immensely to uplift the face of Kwara both in Nigeria and in diaspora.
Dr Awodun asserted that the success of KW-IRS could be ascribed to the stakeholders and taxpayers that believed in the vision and mission of the Service and thus gave support for the record breaking achievement. He therefore dedicated the two awards to Kwara state taxpayers with the expectation that more success will be recorded in subsequent years.
Kwara State Internal Revenue Service from 2015 had embarked on several Community Impact Programmes which are centred on what is tagged the “5-Es” (Employment, Education, Environment, Empowerment and Enterprise) which all add values to the residents of Kwara State
