The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) as part of its Community Impact Program (CIP) which is an initiative to give back to the residents of Kwara State, constructed public toilets with water supply at the Ago Market, Ilorin-West LGA. As is one of the mandates of KW-IRS, the Service has to gather feedback from the public. It is through interaction and feedback gathering that the people at the Ago Market stated their dire need for public convenience.
KW-IRS constructed public toilets, male and female, each with multiple stalls as well as a water supply with its own pumping machine, tower and tank for the people of Ago Market. The project was commissioned on Saturday 21 May 2016 by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Haruna T. Mohammed. Also present at the event were the Representative of the Emir of Ilorin, Magaji Nda and the Kwara State Babaloja and Iyaloja General.
The project was handed over to the Honourable Commissioner who handed over the keys to the State Babaloja and Iyaloja General. These State Market executives are to hand-over the project and its maintenance to the executives of the Ago Market.
